Laredo is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Laredo is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I went to La Chime this past Saturday night because everyone on TikTok and social media has been raving about it, but it ended up being incredibly disappointing. I was excited to try it, but that ended the second I sucked up a massive, disgusting clot of clumped-together boba in my drink. It was completely unappetizing and proved this place is absolutely not worth the viral hype. Temperature control also seems to be a huge issue here. My boba drink didn't stay cold or frozen for more than a few minutes, and the Oreo sundaes we ordered melted into absolute soup the second we got to the car. I always love trying out new spots, but if this is the standard quality they serve most of the time, Iโd much rather save my time and money. Don't buy into the social media hype.

The lady at the cash register wasnโt helping out her coworkers. One of her coworkers was helping me out and she moved her for no reason. She had a nose piercing she was on the heavier side.

Good food, good service, but had a very rude manager named Natalie always cursing at her employees and treating them very poorly and rude. I went today and she was so rude to this poor young lady I feel so bad for the fact that they have to work with such a horrible manager
